Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Solar Technician II for the Chillingham Solar/Storage Facility in Rogers, TX. The role focuses on repairing, diagnosing, and documenting maintenance tasks at a high- tempo solar plant.

You will use SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders, inventory, and reporting, while following safety protocols and participating in on-call rotations. A valid driver’s license and residence within 50 miles are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in solar generation sites, wind generation sites, manufacturing or mining operations, or controls & industrial maintenance.
• Ability to work long hours outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the site and be on-call for outages.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance and operations within qualified skill areas.
• Coordinate high voltage switching with utilities and ISO, including substation operations, lockouts and grounding.
• Work independently or as part of a crew to complete tasks across solar power plant systems.
• Use SCADA and diagnostic tools, including megger testers and IV curve testers.
• Travel to other sites as required to support maintenance and operations.
