Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Solar Technician I to support operation and maintenance at the Anson Solar Site, Anson, TX. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems, using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

You must reside within 50 miles of the site, be willing to work outdoors in extremes, and participate in on-call rotations. A technical diploma and relevant experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Military experience or two years on solar or wind sites can substitute for a degree.
• Willingness for on-call duties and domestic travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Complete permits to work, JSPs, LOTO procedures, and risk assessments.
• Under supervision, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PV inverters, panels, and trackers.
• Use standard hand tools and electrical testing equipment safely.
• Create and close-out work orders in the Maximo system.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors.
• Maintain accurate parts and tooling inventory.
