Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. in Anson, Texas, is seeking a Solar Technician I to support operation and maintenance of the Anson Solar Site. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain PV inverters, solar panels, and related equipment, using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP, with a on-call rotation.

This field role requires residing within 50 miles of the site and willingness to travel domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Willingness to travel domestically and on-call duties.
• Must reside within 50 miles of Anson site.

Responsibilities

• Complete permits to work, JSPs, LOTO and risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair PV inverters and solar panels under supervision.
• Operate hand tools and electrical test equipment.
• Create and close work orders in Maximo.

Skills

AC/DC electrical theory

Reading blueprints & schematics

PPE selection for electrical work

Reading switching orders

Substation training within 12 months

Education

Technical diploma or certification in electrical/electronics

Military equivalent experience or 2 years solar/wind site experience
