Job summary

Black & Veatch Corporation seeks a Solar Survey Party Chief to ensure survey resources and expertise are available for assigned construction projects. You will allocate personnel and coordinate with the Construction Operations Manager to align execution with division policies, standards, and contractual commitments.

You will work with Leica, Topcon, and Trimble systems, train crew members, manage GPS data, and prepare data in AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial construction with layout or survey responsibilities.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and measurement calculations; able to overlay detailed designs.
• Experience training personnel and directing surveying activities; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform principal duties of craft workers under supervision.
• Read and understand L1 Schedule and drawings.
• Create models in Leica, Topcon, Trimble.
• Become Drone Certified for TOPO.
• Verify accuracy of survey data and positions.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, and legal descriptions.
• Utilize AutoCAD to prepare charts, plots, maps, and documents.
• Coordinate findings with engineering and clients.
• Establish fixed points for maps using geodetic instruments.
• Lead safety processes and ensure zero injuries.
