Job summary

SOCOTEC, Inc. seeks a Survey Party Chief to lead a field survey crew and ensure accurate, timely data collection for projects. You will manage surveyors, coordinate with stakeholders, and apply approved surveying methods on varied assignments.

Responsibilities include planning, data gathering with GPS, reporting and maintaining safety standards while meeting project deadlines and quality expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Considerable knowledge from three or more years in Surveying.
• Ability to safely use and operate surveying equipment.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the development and execution of construction, right-of-way, control, topographic, and/or other related survey duties.
• Collaborates with stakeholders during planning phases with engineers, contractors and officials.
• Gathers survey data using GPS and other tools to map areas and measure angles, distances and elevations.
• Drafts reports, descriptions and documentation for all surveys and ensures maps are accurate.
• Adheres to safety, licensing and regulatory requirements and maintains professional standards.
