Job summary

Terra Energy is seeking a field-based Site Surveyor to support residential solar installations. You will conduct on-site surveys, measure site conditions, review electrical infrastructure, and document findings for design and permitting.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, comfortable outdoors, and able to travel locally daily. You will enter data into our systems and collaborate closely with design, permitting, and installation teams to ensure accurate, safe, and efficient projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in solar, construction, roofing, surveying, or related field.
• Comfortable outdoors and traveling locally.
• Proficient with smartphones/tablets and mobile apps.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site assessments for residential and commercial solar projects, collecting data to support design and installation.
• Measure roof dimensions, pitch, azimuth, shading, and structural conditions for accurate planning.
• Review electrical panels, meter locations, and interconnection points.
• Take detailed photos, notes, and drone imagery (if certified).
• Identify installation challenges such as roof damage, obstructions, shading, or access issues.
• Enter survey data into company software and CRM systems.
• Coordinate with sales, design, permitting, and installation teams.
• Maintain tools and equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Represent Terra Energy professionally during site visits.
