Job summary

Terra Energy is seeking a Field Surveyor to perform on-site assessments for residential solar installations in the United States. You will collect accurate measurements, evaluate site conditions, and document everything needed for system design and project planning.

This field-based role requires attention to detail, reliability, and strong communication with internal teams. You will travel daily, work outdoors, and report to the Operations team.

Qualifications

• Experience in solar, construction, roofing, surveying or related field.
• Understanding of residential electrical systems and roof structures.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights; travel locally daily.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site assessments for solar projects, collecting data for design and installation.
• Measure roof dimensions, pitch, azimuth, shading, and structural conditions.
• Review electrical panels, meters, and interconnection points for compatibility.
• Capture site documentation with photos and drone imagery (if certified).
• Identify installation challenges such as roof damage or obstructions.
• Input survey data into company software and CRM.
• Coordinate with sales, design, permitting, and installation teams.
• Maintain equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Represent Terra Energy professionally during site visits.
