Terra Energy is seeking a Site Survey Specialist to support residential solar projects. This field-based role requires accurate on-site measurements, documentation, and data entry to guide design and permitting.

You will work independently in the field, collect precise site data, and maintain clear communication with internal teams to ensure installations proceed smoothly and safely. Local travel and outdoor work are essential aspects of this position.

Qualifications

• Experience in solar, construction, roofing, surveying, or a related field.
• Understand basic residential electrical systems and roof structures.
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working at heights.
• Proficient with smartphones, tablets, and mobile apps.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to travel locally on a daily basis.
• OSHA 10, drone certification, or similar credentials (nice to have).

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site surveys for residential and commercial solar projects, collecting data to support design and installation.
• Measure roof dimensions, pitch, azimuth, shading, and structural conditions for accurate system planning.
• Review electrical panels, meter locations, and interconnection points for compatibility.
• Capture site documentation with photos, notes, and drone imagery (if certified).
• Identify installation challenges like roof damage, obstructions, shading, or access limits.
• Enter survey data into company software and CRM to keep projects moving forward.
• Coordinate with sales, design, permitting, and installation teams for alignment.
• Maintain equipment and ensure surveys follow safety protocols and standards.
• Represent the company professionally during site visits and interactions with customers.
