Job summary

Nexamp is seeking a Business Development Representative to join our Site Origination team. You will identify, qualify, evaluate, and secure solar and storage site control leases in Nexamp’s markets, performing detailed due diligence to ensure high-quality opportunities reach Development.

You will be hybrid out of Boston, MA or Chicago, IL and report to the Director, Site Origination. This role emphasizes relationship building with landowners and stakeholders across regions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years sales experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience negotiating contracts and terms.
• Comfort with high-volume outbound communication via phone and email.
• Ability to travel and hold a valid driver's license.
• Proven ability to build relationships with landowners, customers, and partners.
• Experience using MS Office for proposals and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Identify and qualify viable project sites using company criteria, GIS resources, and interconnection analysis.
• Research zoning, environmental, and regulatory requirements to assess feasibility and mitigate risks.
• Develop and maintain relationships with landowners and partners across regions; educate stakeholders on benefits, timelines, and processes.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to refine outreach strategies and drive project pipeline growth.
• Negotiate, execute, and manage site control agreements for solar and energy storage projects in target markets.
