Job summary

DEPCOM Power, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is seeking a Solar Site Field Engineer to support utility-scale solar and energy infrastructure projects across the United States. This on-site role services multiple project sites with rotations every 3-4 weeks, focusing on Midwest projects and specific sites in VA, KS, NE, KY.

Ideal candidates have a technical degree, drone/UAS credentials, and experience in field or construction management within renewables.

Qualifications

Degree in a technical discipline required.
Experience operating drones or possessing a UAS license preferred.
Experience in Field Engineering, Project Engineering, or Construction Management in Renewables or Energy fields.
Ability to lead teams and communicate in multilingual environments.
On-site work at construction projects and field operations management.

Responsibilities

Coordinate inspections with local, county, and state AHJs.
Create and conduct First Article Inspections (FAIs) to verify site construction to design specifications.
Document and maintain construction drawings, including red-line sets.
Manage RFIs between construction teams, engineers, vendors, and project owners.
Hold subcontractors and self-perform teams to their Scopes of Work.
Review construction material submittals.
Assist in preparing specifications, data sheets, and pre-construction planning.
Maintain storm water documentation logs and remediation.
Proactively manage project constraints with project management and construction personnel.
Operate drones to capture construction progress/issues.
