Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Renewables Site Design Lead Engineer to join our solar energy team in Plano, TX. You will lead civil design for utility-scale projects, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure quality through QA/QC processes.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program, 5–8 years of A&E experience, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D. EIT is required; PE is preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree.
• 5–8 years of civil engineering experience in the A&E industry.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience with county/state permitting preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform all aspects of civil design for utility-scale renewable projects.
• Provide leadership, management, and mentorship for the design team.
• Define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Prepare and support project proposals and budgeting under PM guidance.
• Identify opportunities for additional scope and revenue; participate in business development.
• Maintain ongoing client communication and QA/QC for deliverables.
