Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. in Austin, TX is seeking a Renewables Site Design Lead Engineer to lead civil design on utility-scale renewable projects.

You will direct the civil design effort, coordinate with disciplines, manage tasks and schedule, and ensure QA/QC excellence. The ideal candidate will have a ABET-accredited civil engineering degree, 5–8 years in A&E, EIT required with PE preferred, and proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• 5–8 years in discipline within the A&E industry.
• EIT certification required, PE preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient with AutoCAD and Civil 3D; permitting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform all aspects of civil design for utility-scale renewables.
• Provide leadership, management, and mentorship for the design team.
• Define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to execute project delivery.
• Prepare proposals and assist with budgeting and invoicing.
• Identify additional scope and revenue opportunities; support BD.
• Maintain ongoing client communication and QA/QC goals.
