Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Renewables Site Design Lead Engineer to join our team in Plano, TX.

The role oversees civil engineering design on utility-scale renewable projects, directing the design team and ensuring quality and timely delivery. The ideal candidate brings a Civil Engineering degree (ABET-accredited), 5–8 years of A&E experience, and an EIT certification with PE preferred.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 5–8 years of discipline experience in the A&E industry.
• EIT certification required; PE preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to mentor.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform all aspects of civil design and technical solutions for utility-scale renewable projects.
• Provide leadership, management, and mentorship for the design team.
• Define project tasks, schedule, and resource requirements.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver successful projects; conduct team meetings.
• Prepare and support project proposals.
• Prepare project budgets and review invoicing.
• Identify additional scope and revenue opportunities related to the project and assist in business development.
• Maintain ongoing client communication regarding project status.
• Establish goals for deliverables and QA/QC.
