Job summary

SWCA Environmental Consultants is seeking an Assistant Staff Civil Engineer to join our Jacksonville, FL team supporting renewable energy projects nationwide. You will assist in site civil solar development, erosion and sediment control design, stormwater management, and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.

This is a full-time, hourly role with a hybrid work environment. You will contribute to design, construction drawings, technical analyses, and project coordination across multiple projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in site civil engineering preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering design and development of construction plans for solar developments.
• Participate in field work for site assessments and surveys.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D for plan development and drafting.
• Support hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and water quality assessments.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to maintain schedules and budgets.
