Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Site Design Staff Engineer to join our team. The role focuses on civil design for utility-scale solar projects, including access roads and work pads, with permitting support and occasional field work.

You will compile civil design plan sets as part of an integrated design team to meet project schedules and budgets. The engineer will work under mentorship to develop skills, apply engineering judgment, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or eligibility to pass the FE exam within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a design team member supporting permitting, design, and construction of renewable energy projects.
• Use sound engineering judgment and apply standard procedures to complete tasks.
• Gain foundational knowledge and develop engineering skills through mentored experiences.
• Coordinate with design team members to meet milestones, contract requirements, and client expectations.
• Collaborate with design teams to uphold company standards and consistency.
