Moss is seeking a Safety Manager to lead EHS on construction sites, focusing on BESS installation and commissioning. This role requires managing safety programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating with project teams across multi-state projects.

Ideal candidate has 5+ years in safety leadership within energy or construction sectors, strong communication skills, and the ability to work in a high-demand, travel-intensive environment.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of DOT/DOL/EPA regulation and OSHA/industrial safety compliance as they relate to the power generation industry.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
• Ability to safely drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Leads EHS functions on a project site
• Provides direction and oversight of project EHS team
• Implement and monitor safety protocols specific to BESS installation and commissioning, including thermal runaway prevention, fire suppression systems, and electrical hazard mitigation
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and complete multiple tasks
• Supports the maintenance and implementation of EHS programs, compliance plans, and initiatives on assigned site
• Supports and leads by influence and strategic partnership with project and construction team on assigned site
• Keeps safety credentials current
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate environmental health and safety related risks
• Knowledge of record-keeping principles and practices
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate potential EHS-related risks
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Perform other duties as assigned
