Job summary

Moss is seeking a Site Safety Manager - BESS to lead all EHS functions at a multi-state battery energy storage project site. You will implement and sustain Moss safety programs, align with Operations and Electrical teams, and drive risk mitigation for high-energy environments.

The role requires 5+ years of EHS leadership, a BS in a related field (preferred) and BCSP CHST. Travel up to 100% is expected as projects run nationwide, including complex solar and substation work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of applicable EHS leadership experience.
• BS in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent preferred; BCSP CHST.
• Experience supporting BESS, solar, substation or industrial projects is strongly preferred.
• Proficient knowledge of OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, LOTO and electrical hazard controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all EHS functions on the assigned BESS project site.
• Provide direction to site safety staff and enforce safety plans and procedures.
• Monitor safety controls and ensure compliance with Moss standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with Operations, Electrical and Commissioning to manage risk and schedule.
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate audits, training, and documentation for client and internal audits.
