Job summary

Moss & Associates is seeking a Solar Safety Manager (BESS) to join the EHS team and lead safety on multi-state project sites. The role focuses on implementing and monitoring safety protocols for battery energy storage systems, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

The candidate will oversee the project EHS team, coordinate with construction teams, maintain training credentials, and promote a strong safety culture across Moss’ solar installations.

Qualifications

• Associates or BS in Occupational Health and Safety (preferred).
• 5+ years leadership experience in a related field.
• Knowledge of DOT/DOL/EPA, OSHA/industrial safety compliance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interact across diverse cultures.

Responsibilities

• Leads EHS functions on a project site.
• Provides direction and oversight of project EHS team.
• Implement and monitor safety protocols for BESS installation and commissioning.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and complete multiple tasks.
• Supports and leads by influence with project and construction teams.
• Keeps safety credentials current.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate EHS risks.
• Maintains record-keeping and training documentation.
