Job summary

Moss is seeking a SITE SAFETY MANAGER - BESS to lead all EHS functions on a battery energy storage project. You will implement safety plans, coach field teams, and ensure regulatory and Moss standards are met at multi-site locations with up to extensive travel.

The role requires strong communication, documentation, and leadership across operations, electrical, and commissioning teams, with a focus on NFPA 70E and LOTO compliance in high-energy environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of applicable EHS leadership experience.
• BS in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent preferred.
• BCSP Certification (minimum CHST).
• Experience supporting BESS, solar, substation, or industrial projects is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA 1926, NFPA 70E, LOTO/energy isolation, and electrical hazard controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead all EHS functions on the assigned BESS project site.
• Implement and enforce Site-Specific Safety Plan and SWIs.
• Collaborate with operations to align safety with schedule and milestones.
• Conduct field audits, inspections, and incident investigations.
• Lead emergency response planning and execution for the site.
