Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician in El Campo, TX to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility-scale solar and storage systems. This safety-sensitive role requires knowledge of solar operations and electrical systems, with the ability to work independently following established procedures.

You will perform preventative maintenance, monitor plant performance via SCADA, document activities in CMMS, and assist senior technicians.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications preferred.
Experience in large-scale solar O&M.
Ability to read electrical schematics and operate CMMS/SCADA.

Responsibilities

Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on AC/DC systems, inverters, PV modules, transformers, switchgear, and high-voltage components.
Monitor plant operations through SCADA and assist with commissioning, testing, and modifications.
Follow safety protocols including JHA and LOTO; ensure site procedures compliance.
Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance as required.
Coordinate with remote operators to identify and resolve site issues efficiently.
Maintain records of maintenance activities using CMMS software.
Provide guidance to other technicians based on experience level.
Execute installation tasks with torquing, calibration, and use of specialized tools.
