Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility‑scale solar PV and energy storage systems in El Campo, TX. The role requires safe, independent work and a focus on preventative maintenance and system monitoring.

Responsibilities include inspecting, testing, and repairing AC/DC systems, operating SCADA and CMMS, and following strict safety protocols such as JHA and LOTO. Travel regionally may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; electrical certifications or industry training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M; varies by position level.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and operate SCADA and CMMS systems.
• Strong computer skills and familiarity with industrial safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on AC and DC systems including inverters, PV modules, transformers, and switchgear.
• Monitor plant operations via SCADA and assist with commissioning and testing.
• Follow safety protocols (JHA, LOTO) and maintain site procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance tasks as needed.
• Work with remote operators to resolve site issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS software.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians and contribute to maintenance plans.
