Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician to maintain, troubleshoot and repair utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems across multiple sites. You will work with AC/DC components, inverters, modules, transformers, and switchgear, following strict safety protocols and using CMMS for maintenance records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications or training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and operate SCADA systems.
• Proficiency with CMMS for maintenance tracking.
• 4+ years in the solar industry for advanced roles.
• Knowledge of LOTO procedures and electrical work planning.
• Experience troubleshooting and maintaining multiple OEM systems.
• Ability to create complex schematics and work instructions.
• Strong experience with industrial control interfaces.
• Excellent organizational skills and multitasking ability.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on AC/DC systems including inverters, modules, transformers and switchgear.
• Monitor plant operations through SCADA and assist with commissioning, testing, and modifications.
• Follow safety protocols such as JHA and LOTO; work according to site procedures.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance activities as required.
• Collaborate with remote operators to identify and resolve site issues.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS.
• Provide guidance to other technicians and assist in planning work.
• Execute installation tasks with torquing, calibration, and specialized tools.
