Job summary

Origis Energy is seeking a Solar PV & BESS O&M Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair utility-scale solar PV and energy storage systems. You will follow safety procedures, monitor operations via SCADA, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance to keep sites efficient.

The role requires experience with electrical systems and strong CMMS/SCADA skills, plus the ability to work independently and lead on-site tasks while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• High school diploma or equivalent; electrical certifications or industry training preferred.
• Experience in large-scale solar O&M (experience requirements vary by position level).
• Competency in industrial or utility power operations, troubleshooting, and general maintenance procedures.
• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, operating SCADA systems, and using CMMS for maintenance tracking.
• Strong computer skills, particularly in SCADA and CMMS applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs on AC and DC systems and components.
• Monitor plant operations through SCADA and assist with commissioning and testing.
• Follow safety protocols including JHA and LOTO and ensure site procedure compliance.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and support maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with remote operators to resolve site issues efficiently.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS software.
• Provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.
• Execute installation tasks with torqueing, calibration, and specialized tools.
