Job summary

NovaSource Power Services is seeking a Maintenance Technician to oversee the operation and upkeep of utility-scale PV power plants. You will monitor plant performance via SCADA, perform commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, and repair inverters, transformers, and protection gear.

Applicants should have at least 2+ years in a related role or Journeyman certification, a high school diploma, and strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college/technical degree preferred.
• Electrical certifications, state, journeyman, etc. a plus.
• Equivalent training in military, utility, or power industry is a plus.
• Experience with electrical safety standards and arc flash is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and operation of utility-scale PV power plants.
• Monitor PV plant operation via SCADA; assist commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Repair and modify AC/DC solar PV components including inverters and transformers.
• Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tag-Out and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Maintain documentation, reports, and work orders accurately.
• Support on-site projects, installations, and quality inspections.
• Ensure 5S housekeeping and site safety at all times.
• Travel as needed to different site locations.
