Job summary

SunPower is seeking an analytical Industrial Engineer/Operations Analyst in Orem, Utah, to enhance solar operations performance and scalability. You will transform lifecycle data into actionable insights, building dashboards, reports, and tools to guide leadership and operations teams.

The role blends data, processes, and people to foster a data-driven operating culture, with responsibilities spanning sales to activation and continuous improvement across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a quantitative field.
• 2–5+ years in operations analytics, IE, BI, or similar.
• Experience with large operational datasets.
• Strong Excel skills with PivotTables, Power Query, formulas, data visualization.
• Experience building Power BI, Tableau, or similar dashboards.
• Strong analytical/problem-solving abilities turning data into actions.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data across the solar project lifecycle to identify bottlenecks and opportunities.
• Track project flow from sale through design, permitting, installation, inspection, and activation.
• Analyze cycle times, aging, WIP, productivity, backlog, throughput, and forecast vs. actuals.
• Identify pipeline bottlenecks, perform root-cause analysis and assess impact of delays.
• Develop operational benchmarks and identify performance gaps across teams and regions.
• Build and maintain dashboards for real-time visibility into pipeline, aging, and productivity.
• Design reports for frontline managers and executives highlighting key issues.
• Map and analyze workflows and recommend process changes to improve speed and quality.
• Support continuous-improvement initiatives across Operations, Design, Construction, Supply Chain, CX.
• Establish standard operating metrics and definitions; track improvements.
• Extract, clean, and analyze data from CRM, ERP, and other systems.
• Partner with IT/Data to improve data quality and reporting infrastructure.
• Automate data collection and recurring reporting to reduce manual work.
