Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Technician I to operate equipment and manage materials in the manufacturing of photovoltaic modules. You will perform preventative maintenance, address alarms, and participate in quality checks using basic math and computer systems.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, with 1+ year manufacturing experience or related disciplines. Internal candidates should have supervisor endorsement and a safety-oriented record.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Associate degree or technical certificate is a plus.
• Able to operate in a production environment with safety focus.
• Experience with warehouse or industrial roles is acceptable in lieu of direct manufacturing experience.
• Internal candidates should show supervisor endorsement and a safety/performance record.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate specific manufacturing equipment to produce photovoltaic modules.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and address intermediate alarms.
• Conduct basic quality control and interface with factory computer systems.
• Use hand tools and measurement devices for maintenance and setup.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively during shifts.
• Monitor process data and assist in problem solving and escalation as needed.
