Job summary

First Solar, Inc. is seeking a Production Technician II to operate equipment and manage materials in the finishing end of the manufacturing process. You will ensure high-quality PV modules while maintaining safe daily operations and process control.

The role requires experience with advanced maintenance, interfacing with factory computer systems, and working in a team environment. Training programs prepare you for broader process knowledge across FIN1 & FIN2 areas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 100 credits of internal manufacturing training completed.
• Endorsement from direct supervisor for a promotion.
• Positive supervisor rating in Safety, Performance, Dependability and Collaboration.
• Safety-first mindset and good housekeeping.
• Basic troubleshooting and SPC concepts.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment and manage materials to manufacture solar modules.
• Perform advanced maintenance and address higher-level alarms.
• Interface with equipment computers and monitor process data (SPC).
• Provide on-the-job training and support shift changes.
• Ensure inventory and waste management for next shift.
