Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Production Technician I to operate equipment and manage materials in the manufacturing process for PV modules. You will perform basic maintenance, respond to intermediate alarms, and interface with factory computer systems while supporting a safe, high-quality production environment.

External candidates should have a high school diploma or GED; an Associate degree or technical certificate is preferred and 1+ year of manufacturing experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required for external candidates; associate degree preferred.
• 1+ year manufacturing experience or equivalent substitutions are acceptable.
• Internal candidates must have 60 credits and supervisor endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment and maintain production quality.
• Perform basic maintenance and address intermediate alarms.
• Interface with factory computer systems and monitor parameters.
• Participate in training and provide guidance to teammates.
• Ensure proper inventory, waste handling, and shift handoffs.
