Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Project Manager to lead day-to-day operations for solar PV projects within SDI Services, an affiliate. You will manage contracts, schedules, budgets, risk, and document control while coordinating with procurement and field teams.

The role involves frequent travel, overseeing multiple sites, ensuring safety and quality, and driving timely project closeout with strong client communication and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills).
• Leadership ability.
• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Drafting and computer skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating).

Responsibilities

• The Project Manager is a central point person for the assigned project, handling contract management, communication, reporting, schedule maintenance, budget maintenance, change management, risk management, document control, meetings, and closeout.
• Assists in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of projects.
• Determines technical staff hours required for successful completion and analyzes technical and contractual information for the project team.
• Prepares reports and documentation for the client and project management, and prepares notices and change order documentation.
• Manages schedules and budgets for proposals and close outs, monitors progress and material logistics.
• Interfaces with procurement and subcontract personnel to coordinate office and field activities.
• Supports client relationships with professional and technical input and answers, and coordinates question responses and system design.
