Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager for SDI Services in Sacramento on a temporary assignment.

You will lead day-to-day project management for drilling pile installation, racking, and module installation, coordinating with field teams, procurement, and clients to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery. The role requires 5–8 years of field construction management, a related degree, and strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experience.
• Field construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills).
• Leadership ability.
• Problem-solving ability and strong sense of urgency.
• Organizational and communication skills.
• Drafting and computer skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of contract law and project accounting.
• Thorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating).

Responsibilities

• Serve as central point person for the assigned project, leading contract management, communication, reporting, schedule and budget maintenance.
• Determine technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project.
• Obtain, analyze, and circulate technical and contractual information to the project team.
• Prepare reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management.
• Prepare notices and change order documentation for the client and project management.
• Determine and manage schedules and budgets for assigned project proposals and close outs; coordinate with procurement and subcontract personnel.
• Support client relationships at a professional and technical level, including answering questions and evaluating requirements.
• Set goals for field management, subcontractors and vendors; motivate and manage to stay on task.
• Manage performance, productivity and quality of field management, subcontractors and vendors to complete projects on time.
• Coordinate delivery of materials and equipment to optimize efficiency and avoid cost overruns.
• Enforce company policies, safety standards and installation best practices.
• Attend site walks and pre-construction planning meetings.
