ABB is seeking a Solar Technician to perform field service and PV system support across customer sites. You will install, maintain and troubleshoot grid-tied PV systems, work with inverters and mounting systems, and ensure compliance with NEC codes.

Formación

• 3+ years Solar Technician experience preferred.
• Experience installing, maintaining and troubleshooting PV systems preferred.
• Experience installing all types of grid-tied inverters and be able to work with various ground and roof mount racking systems preferred.
• PV Component performance and HALT testing preferred.
• Familiarity with electrical plans and field layouts.
• Must have understanding of NEC codes that relate to PV installations.
• Will be travelling to different job sites to perform job. Must be willing to travel up to 80% of the time (mainly in California and Texas).
• Must have good prioritization, organization, analytical and planning skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Must be flexible, be able to adapt to new situations, have self-control and have high integrity.

Responsabilidades

• Execute service work per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines.
• Deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation.
• Identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points.
• Perform field service tasks, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform.
• Prepare material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities.
• Act as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers.
