ABB is seeking a Service Technician for the Western region to provide remote/local technical support for ABB's PV inverters, BESS, PCS and MV equipment. The role requires coordinating with contractors, managing technician assignments, and ensuring proper tools and documentation are in place.

Travel up to 80% and independent work at customer sites are expected. The position offers comprehensive benefits, 11 holidays, and a 401(k) with company contributions, with base pay guidance between $58,500

Qualifications

• HS Diploma with 5+ years in Maintenance Service or energy sector.
• Knowledge of communication networks, cooling systems, power electronics, MV equipment, and electrical diagrams.
• EH&S regulations knowledge for technicians on solar farms.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.

Responsabilités

• Provide remote/local technical support to customers, contractors and technicians to resolve incidents for ABB equipment (PV Inverters, BESS, PCS, MV equipment, cooling, and related systems).
• Coordinate with contractors and technicians.
• Maintain daily communication with technicians and coordinate with contractors.
• Plan, direct and manage scheduling of Service Technician activities from assignment to assignment and ensure proper staffing.
• Ensure technicians have tools and supplies and receive the needed training and PPE.
• Maintain documentation of work performed and inventory of supplies.
• Communicate with customers to ensure satisfaction of completed work.
