Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance on solar equipment at multiple plants from its site in Laredo, TX. The role emphasizes safe work practices and adherence to procedures, with supervision and on-the-job learning.

Responsibilities include equipment testing, troubleshooting, part replacement, and accurate documentation. Willingness to travel up to 10% and obtain NFPA 70e training is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training is a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to follow written and verbal instructions and work safely.
• Obtain NFPA 70e Safety Training certification and keep trainings current.
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the top priority; follow safe practices at all times.
• Operate, care for equipment and tooling, and perform basic testing and maintenance under supervision.
• Replace or repair solar parts/equipment under supervision; document work performed.
• Respond to on-call assignments and travel up to 10% for training/site coverage.
• Assist with process improvements and coordinate with management on enhancements.
