Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to join our site-based teams across the United States. This full-time role focuses on safe operation, routine maintenance, and repair of solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision. Relocation to a U.S.

site is required and discussed during interview. Travel up to 10% may be needed. NFPA 70e Safety Training and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; vocational/technical training a plus.
• Ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment with basic tools and procedures.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures for energized parts/systems.
• Basic understanding of solar installation/plant operations.
• Familiarity with testing equipment used in solar facilities.
• Effective verbal and written English communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and follow safe work practices at all times.
• Work under supervision to service solar equipment at multiple plants.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Document work performed accurately and report findings.
• Collaborate with EPC management on process improvements.
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality procedures.
