Job summary

SOLV Energy, LLC seeks a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance on-site in Laredo, TX. You will learn and follow safe work practices, service solar equipment, conduct basic testing and troubleshooting, and document work performed under supervision.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED, basic electrical knowledge, and the ability to travel up to 10%. Safety training like NFPA 70e is preferred, with on-call duty as needed.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused field maintenance experience or training.
• Basic electrical and mechanical understanding for on-site tasks.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Lock Out/Tag Out procedures knowledge and practice.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for training/site coverage.

Responsibilities

• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of solar equipment.
• Replace or repair solar parts and/or equipment under supervision.
• Respond on-call to assist in emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Assist in process improvements and coordinate with EPC management.
