SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician in Shelbyville, IN. This full-time, on-site position begins as a contingent role with the potential to convert to permanent employment.

The technician will service solar equipment across plants under supervision, perform basic testing, and follow strict safety practices. A high school diploma or GED and basic mechanical/electrical knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent; technical training a plus.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to perform Lock Out/Tag Out procedures on energized parts/systems.
• Familiarity with solar installation/plant operations and testing equipment.
• Strong English communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow company safety practices on site.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing and maintenance of solar equipment.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and required reports of work performed.
• Travel up to 10% for training and site coverage.
