Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician, Level 1, to join our team on a full-time basis. The position will be based on a jobsite in Girvin, TX, with the initial role contingent and potential to transition to a permanent position.

You will perform field maintenance and learn safe work practices in the solar industry. Responsibilities include servicing solar equipment across plants, basic testing, documentation, and on-call support as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification beneficial.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Safety is the top priority and all employees follow safe practices.
• Operate and care for company property, equipment, and tooling.
• Service solar equipment in multiple solar plants under supervision.
• Perform basic solar equipment testing and maintenance tasks under supervision.
• Respond on-call as directed by supervisor for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate documentation and reports of work performed.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
