Job summary

Invenergy LLC, a North American energy leader, seeks a Solar Technician for Hollis Creek Energy Center in Many, LA. You will assist in operating and maintaining a 200 MW-AC solar facility, performing routine maintenance on solar arrays, substations, and related equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, about 1 year of technical experience, and willingness to travel up to 30%. You’ll work 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with overtime, in an outdoor setting, following safety procedures

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year technical experience (electrical, etc.).
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to support other project sites in the region.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather.
• Able to climb and work safely from a portable ladder.
• Able to understand directions and follow procedures with minimal oversight.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on all site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management, including operating large equipment to maintain the site per plan.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic issues, including inverter and tracker faults.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of all site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety equipment.
• Work 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with overtime and possible night work.
• Maintain company tooling, facilities, and equipment; keep a clean, safe environment.
