Job summary

Invenergy LLC is seeking a Solar Technician to assist in operating and maintaining the Grimes Solar Energy Center. The role focuses on routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and ensuring safe, efficient solar operations at a large 210 MW-AC facility.

You will work 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday to Friday, with potential overtime and some night work. Travel up to 30% and outdoor work in various weather conditions are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year technical experience or education in electrical/technical field.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time and work nights when required.
• Outdoor work in varying weather and environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Perform vegetation management and operate large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, and substation faults and site performance issues.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of solar site equipment.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with safety gear; inspect, repair, and maintain equipment.
• Work 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday (40 hours) with overtime and potential night work.
