Job summary

Invenergy is hiring an Advanced Solar Technician for the Hollis Creek Energy Center in Many, LA. The role focuses on operating and maintaining a 200 MW-AC solar facility, with duties including routine maintenance, vegetation management, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues.

The position requires 4+ years in renewable energy ops/maintenance or 8+ years of relevant experience, willingness to travel up to 30%, and ability to work outdoors and nights. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eight (8+) years of relevant experience or four (4+) years in renewable energy operations and maintenance preferred.
• Willing to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Willing to support other project sites in the region.
• Willing to work nights during maintenance activities.
• Outdoor work in inclement weather.
• Ability to climb and use a portable ladder safely.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physically able to move up to 45 kg (100 pounds).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine mechanical and electrical maintenance on site solar, substation, and related equipment.
• Carry out vegetation management using large equipment per plan.
• Troubleshoot inverter, tracker, network, and substation faults.
• Understand electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic functions of site components.
• Conduct daily site maintenance with proper safety precautions.
• Work a 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Friday (40 hours) with overtime and possible night work.
• Maintain tooling, facilities, and equipment and keep a clean, safe work environment.
