Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance at solar plants in Utah, following safe work practices. The role is full-time, on-site at Castle Dale, UT, with on-call duties and travel as needed.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, basic testing, and replacement of solar components under supervision, while maintaining accurate documentation and safety compliance. Opportunities for growth and hands-on learning are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work in a mechanical/electrical environment.
• Demonstrated basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and perform effective Lock Out/Tag Out of energized parts/systems.
• Demonstrated basic understanding of a solar installation/plant.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize safety and enforce safe practices on site.
• Operate and care for company equipment, tools, and vehicles.
• Service solar equipment across multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance of solar equipment.
• Coordinate with supervision for on-call emergency repairs and reporting.
