Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician (Level 1) to perform field maintenance on utility-scale solar, battery storage and high-voltage substation projects. This full-time role is based on a jobsite in Castle Dale, UT, with details discussed during interview.

You will work under supervision to test, troubleshoot and service solar equipment, follow strict safety practices, and prepare accurate reports; occasional travel up to 10% and on-call support are required.

Qualifications

• Safety training and ability to follow procedures.
• Mechanical/electrical environment experience from formal training or work.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Basic understanding of solar installation/plant.
• Basic knowledge of testing equipment.
• Basic computer skills.
• NFPA 70e Safety Training certification required.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Able to work at remote locations in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Emphasize safety as the top priority and enforce safe practices.
• Operate and care for company equipment and tooling.
• Service solar equipment at multiple plants under supervision.
• Perform basic testing, troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Replace or repair solar parts under supervision.
• Respond to on-call requests for emergency repairs.
• Prepare accurate work reports and documentation.
• Collaborate on process improvements with EPC management.
