Job summary

QE Solar seeks a Solar Field Technician to provide ongoing field services for solar, BESS, and related systems. You will troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and support warranty matters while maintaining strict safety practices.

Preferred candidates have NABCEP PV Installer certification, OSHA 10/30, NFPA70E training, and 0–2+ years in renewable-energy field work. Extensive regional travel is expected, with training provided by field leads.

Qualifications

• High School or Technical School Degree or equivalent education/experience; veterans encouraged.
• 0-2+ years in solar/BESS or renewable systems; experience with data acquisition systems.
• OSHA 10/30 Certification and NFPA 70E training; NABCEP PV Installer preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and repair solar and related electrical equipment in field.
• Familiarity with RS485/Modbus networking and IT concepts is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair solar/BESS equipment at multiple sites; perform preventative maintenance.
• Ensure safety and compliance per company policies and OSHA/NFPA guidelines.
• Prepare service tickets and reports after site visits and repairs; communicate findings.
• Coordinate with project leads and subcontractors to resolve field issues promptly.
