Job summary

QE Solar is seeking a Solar Field Technician to support field services across solar, BESS, and related systems. Responsibilities include diagnosing failures, executing preventative maintenance, and assisting field teams with on-site operations and safety compliance.

Ideal candidates have 0–2+ years in solar or renewable energy environments, familiarity with high voltage systems, and NFPA/NEC knowledge. Travel to regional sites is required with a focus on safety and quality work practices.

Qualifications

• 0-2+ years of specialist, technical experience with solar projects, BESS, or other renewable systems.
• Experience with data acquisition systems.
• NEC/IEEE/NFPA 70e knowledge andcertifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair system failures at existing solar sites and assist field teams with real-time solutions.
• Ensure safe work environment and compliance with safety procedures (lock-out/tag-out, JHA, LDL, etc.).
• Prepare service tickets and site visit reports; communicate findings to leads and clients.
• Coordinate with technical leads, project managers, and subcontractors to resolve activities and safety concerns.
