Job summary

QE Solar is seeking a Solar Field Technician to provide ongoing field services across multiple solar and BESS systems. You will perform inspections, maintenance, and testing, supporting warranty matters and equipment reliability while coordinating with project leads and subcontractors.

Role involves travel regionally, hands-on troubleshooting, and adhering to strict safety standards; prior experience with solar projects and battery storage is preferred.

Qualifications

High School or Technical School Degree or equivalent experience.
0–2+ years of specialist, technical experience with solar projects, BESS, or other renewables.
Experience with data acquisition systems.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair solar, BESS, or related systems and support field teams with real-time site operations solutions.
Maintain safety protocols and compliance in all field activities (lock-out/tag-out, JHA, NFPA 70E).
Prepare service tickets and reports for site visits and emergency repairs; communicate findings to leads and clients.

Skills

Solar field experience

600V-1500V systems

NEC/IEEE/NFPA-70e knowledge

C&I/Utility scale solar work

Inverter/BESS certifications

OSHA 10/30

IT/IT networking basics
