Job summary

ACT Power Services is seeking a Solar Field Service Technician to safely manage day-to-day onsite operations for Commercial and Utility Scale Solar PV plants. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair solar equipment, and follow safety standards to maximize production.

The role requires field travel and site work, with on-call hours and weekend shifts possible. Ideal candidates have 6 months to 1 year of related field experience, OSHA 10, and QEW readiness, plus

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of relevant field experience in solar, electrical, or related trade or completion of ACT's Apprentice program.
• Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) sign-off or ability to obtain within onboarding period.
• OSHA 10 General Industry certification or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Uphold safety standards in all tasks.
• Assist in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of solar facilities including inverter maintenance.
• Perform string-level troubleshooting, tracker inspections, and basic maintenance support.
• Conduct routine vegetation and site equipment inspections, including monthly checks.
• Log data and maintain service reports, inspections, safety paperwork, and spare parts inventory.
• Coordinate and participate in job briefings and training as assigned.
