Job summary

ENGIE North America is seeking a Solar Technician I to support the operation and maintenance of solar facilities at the Sypert Branch Solar Site in Rogers, TX. You will troubleshoot and repair PV inverters, panels, and tracking systems, using SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

This field position requires 30% indoor and 70% outdoor work, with on-call duties and travel within 50 miles of the site.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory.
• Military equivalent experience or two years of solar/wind site experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the site for access flexibility.
• Must be willing to travel domestically to support ENGIE operations.
• Must complete ENGIE’s Electrical Worker Competency test within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete permits to work, JSPs, LOTO procedures, and risk assessments.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair photovoltaic inverters, solar panels, and tracking systems.
• Operate hand tools and electrical testing equipment (multimeters, clamps, drills).
• Create and close-out work orders in the Maximo system.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, vendors, and visitors.
