Job summary

ENGIE North America Inc. is seeking a Solar Technician I for the Sypert Branch Solar Site in Rogers, TX. You will support operation and maintenance of solar facilities, troubleshoot inverters, panels, and tracking systems, and use SCADA, Maximo, and SAP to manage work orders and reporting.

You must reside within 50 miles of the site and participate in an on-call rotation for outages. This is a field role with both indoor and outdoor tasks and rigorous safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum diploma or certification in a technical program with AC/DC electrical theory.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics and operate electrical equipment.
• Obtain appropriate level of substation certifications within 12 months of hire date.
• Available for on-call duties and night shifts.
• Must reside within 50 miles of the Rogers site.

Responsibilities

• Complete permits to work, JSPs, LOTO procedures, and risk assessments.
• Under supervision, troubleshoot and repair photovoltaic inverters, solar panels, and tracking systems.
• Operate standard hand tools and electrical testing equipment.
• Follow ENGIE documentation and maintenance checklists.
• Create and close work orders in Maximo.
• Conduct site safety orientations for OEMs, ISPs, and site visitors.
• Accompany approved site visitors to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tooling.
