Job summary

Deriva Energy seeks a Solar Technician I or II based at the East Blackland Solar Site in Manor, TX. You will support multiple Deriva Solar projects, establishing O&M for new sites and long-term operation, with on-call and travel as needed.

Qualifications range from high school/GED to two years of related work and a solar training program. Travel to other sites and safety-focused duties are expected.

Qualifications

• High school/GED required.
• Ability to complete Level I training within 1 year.
• Two years or more of related work experience (Tech II).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve faults on solar systems related to mechanical or electrical issues.
• Perform pad mounted Transformer switching following Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.
• Carry out corrective tasks on solar equipment.
• Travel to assist other Deriva Energy solar facilities when needed.
• Maintain EH&S documentation and complete work orders and PPE inventories.
• Work outdoors in varying conditions and operate grounds-keeping equipment.

Education

High school/GED

Associates or Technical degree in Electrical Construction and Maintenance

Completion of a Solar training program
