Job summary
Power Electronics, a global leader in renewable energy solutions, is seeking a Field Service Technician in Arcadia, FL. You will perform start-up and commissioning of solar and battery inverter systems, configure units to specifications, diagnose faults in the field, and replace components such as transformers, switchgear, boards, fuses, fans and filters.
You will also provide on-call support as required. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in a similar role with electrical/electronics installation
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a similar position with demonstrable experience in mechanical and electrical installation and assembly.
- Intermediate or Advanced Vocational Training in Electricity and/or Electronics; Bachelor's Degree desirable, preferably in Electrical Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Perform start-up and commissioning of solar inverters at photovoltaic plants.
- Ensure systems are configured and operating according to specifications.
- Diagnose and repair inverter faults in the field.
- Replace components such as MV transformers, switchgear, electronic boards, AC/DC fuses, fans, and filters.
